(SPECIAL ORDER) V-Tail Grouper
The Saddleback Grouper is a predatory reef fish native to the Indo-Pacific region, commonly found around coral reef slopes, lagoons, and rocky reef structures. Due to its size and territorial behavior, a minimum tank size of 180–220 gallons is recommended. Ideal water parameters are 72–78°F, salinity 1.020–1.025, and pH 8.1–8.4 with stable, high-quality filtration. Saddleback groupers are carnivorous, feeding on small fish, shrimp, crabs, and other meaty marine foods, and should be offered a varied diet in captivity including mysis shrimp, chopped shrimp, squid, and marine fish flesh. They are semi-aggressive to aggressive and will consume smaller tankmates, so they should only be housed with larger, durable fish and provided ample rockwork for hiding and territory establishment.
