The Threadfin Auriga Butterflyfish is a beautiful and active marine fish known for its bold yellow body, black facial band, and distinctive trailing “thread-like” dorsal fin. This hardy butterflyfish adapts well to established marine aquariums and spends most of its time swimming and picking at rockwork for small invertebrates.
It does best in larger tanks with plenty of swimming space and a varied diet of meaty marine foods, frozen preparations, and high-quality pellets. While generally peaceful, it may occasionally nip at some corals or invertebrates in reef aquariums.
