(SPECIAL ORDER) Zebra Shark (EXPERT ONLY)
The Zebra Shark, Stegostoma tigrinum, is a large, slow-moving shark species known for its striking juvenile striped pattern that changes to spots as it matures. It requires a minimum tank size of 500 gallons, with salinity 1.023–1.025, pH 8.1–8.4, and temperature 75–82°F (24–28°C). Carnivorous, it feeds on meaty foods such as shrimp, squid, clams, and small fish, often foraging along the substrate. Zebra Sharks are generally peaceful but need a soft sandy bottom and plenty of hiding spaces among rocks to protect their underbelly. This is an EXPERT-ONLY species due to its large adult size, specific dietary requirements, and sensitivity to tank conditions, and it is exempt from any guarantees.
