(SPECIAL ORDER) Snowflake Eel

The Snowflake Moray Eel, Gymnothorax favagineus, is a striking black-and-white patterned marine eel that adds a dramatic presence to a predator or reef-compatible tank. It requires a minimum tank size of 180 gallons, with salinity of 1.023–1.025, pH 8.1–8.4, and temperature 75–82°F (24–28°C). Carnivorous and mostly nocturnal, it readily accepts meaty foods like shrimp, squid, and fish, and is best kept with larger, non-aggressive tankmates while avoiding small fish or invertebrates. Snowflake Morays need plenty of rockwork for hiding and a secure lid to prevent escapes. This is a Moderate species, one of the easiest morays to care for, making it a great choice for aquarists with some basic experience.
