(SPECIAL ORDER) Cortez Ray (EXPERT ONLY)

The Cortez Ray, Urobatis maculatus, is a small to medium-sized ray native to the eastern Pacific, recognized for its rounded body and spotted pattern. It requires a minimum tank size of 150 gallons, with salinity adjusted for marine conditions, pH 7.8–8.2, and temperature 72–78°F (22–26°C). Carnivorous, it feeds on meaty foods such as shrimp, small fish, and worms. The Cortez Ray should be housed with similarly sized or larger tankmates to reduce stress and requires a soft sandy substrate to protect its delicate underside, along with ample open swimming space. This is an EXPERT-ONLY species, and due to its specialized care requirements, it is exempt from any guarantees.
