(SPECIAL ORDER) Azuma Anthias (EXPERT ONLY)

The Azuma Anthias is a rare deepwater anthias native to the western Pacific, particularly around Japan, where it inhabits deep rocky reef slopes and drop-offs in cooler, plankton-rich waters. A minimum tank size of 70–120 gallons is recommended with ample rockwork for shelter and open swimming space. Ideal water parameters are 70–76°F, salinity 1.020–1.025, and pH 8.1–8.4 with excellent filtration and stable conditions. Azuma Anthias are carnivorous planktivores, feeding primarily on zooplankton and small crustaceans, and should be offered frequent feedings of mysis shrimp, copepods, brine shrimp, and finely chopped marine foods throughout the day. Due to their deepwater origin, rarity in the trade, and sensitivity during acclimation, this species is considered Expert Only and is exempt from livestock health guarantees.
