(SPECIAL ORDER) Polleni Grouper
The Polleni Grouper is a medium-to-large predatory reef fish native to the Indo-Pacific, commonly inhabiting coral reef slopes, lagoons, and rocky reef structures where it ambushes prey from crevices. A minimum tank size of 180–220 gallons is recommended due to its territorial and active nature. Water parameters should be 72–78°F, salinity 1.020–1.025, and pH 8.1–8.4 with stable, high-quality filtration. Polleni groupers are carnivorous, feeding on small fish, shrimp, crabs, and other meaty marine foods, and should be offered a varied diet including mysis shrimp, chopped shrimp, squid, and marine fish flesh. They are semi-aggressive to aggressive and will eat smaller tankmates, so they should only be housed with larger, robust species in aquariums that provide ample rockwork for territory and hiding.
