The Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse is a small, iconic reef fish from the Indo-Pacific, renowned for its cleaning behavior, removing parasites from other fish. A minimum tank size of 50–75 gallons is recommended, though they thrive best in mature, established reef systems. Water parameters should be 72–78°F, salinity 1.020–1.025, and pH 8.1–8.4 with excellent water quality. Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasses are carnivorous, feeding on ectoparasites in the wild, and in captivity require a diet of frozen mysis shrimp, copepods, and specialized feeding programs. They are peaceful, but delicate, often difficult to keep long-term unless their dietary needs and environment are carefully maintained.
