(SPECIAL ORDER) Banded Moray Eel

The Banded Moray Eel (Gymnothorax rueppelliae) is a beautifully patterned marine eel with alternating dark and light bands, making it an eye-catching addition to a predator tank. It requires a minimum tank size of 125–150 gallons, with salinity 1.023–1.025, pH 8.1–8.4, and temperature 75–80°F (24–27°C). Carnivorous and primarily nocturnal, it feeds on meaty foods like shrimp, squid, and small fish, and is best kept with larger, non-aggressive tankmates while avoiding smaller species. The Banded Moray needs plenty of rockwork and hiding spots, along with a secure lid to prevent escapes. This is an INTERMEDIATE species, hardy enough for aquarists with some experience, but consistent care and monitoring are recommended.
