(SPECIAL ORDER) Annularis angelfish
The Annularis Angelfish is a large Indo-Pacific marine angelfish in the family Pomacanthidae known for its bright blue body and distinctive yellow ring on the side in adulthood. It can reach 14–18 inches (35–45 cm) in length and requires large aquariums of at least about 180 gallons, though 220–300 gallons is recommended for long-term care due to its size and active swimming behavior. This species prefers aquariums with ample live rock for grazing and shelter, strong biological filtration, and stable marine conditions around 76–80°F with salinity of 1.023–1.025. The Annularis angelfish is semi-aggressive and territorial, especially as it matures, and is typically kept with other robust fish such as tangs, triggers, and large wrasses rather than with small peaceful species. In captivity it thrives on a varied omnivorous diet including sponge-based angelfish foods, marine algae, and meaty frozen preparations, and like most large angelfish it is usually kept in fish-only or fish-only-with-live-rock systems, as it may nip at corals and some invertebrates.
